Postcard from Ghana

Mummy Barrow, Mammasaurus and Alexander Residence (aka TeamHonk) are currently on an amazing trip to Ghana with Comic Relief to see for themselves some of the projects that have had the benefit of the incredible amounts of money raised in the last 25 years.

Yesterday they visited a school on the edge of a slum in Accra.  A slum that is home to 75,000 people.  The community was buzzing and everyone they saw waved, high fived and wanted to show them their homes.  The school has 250 pupils ranging from 2 years old to 16 years old and was started 10 years ago.

Here is my digital postcard sent from TeamHonk during their travels with Comic Relief in Ghana celebrating #goodwork.

For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa.  Let’s Keep Up the Good Work.  Find out how at rednoseday.com.

I like how this photo has captured the girl clapping. Is nice to hear that they are so happy – singing, dancing, joking. Amazing what difference the #GoodWork so far has made.

    Thanks for sharing.

One of the things I have enjoyed about teaching children from all over the world is that children are pretty much the same wherever they were born, they love to be loved and to play and to learn. It is so fantastic that money raised from Comic Relief has been helping this school but 250 children out of a slum of 75,000 people is the start. There is so much more #goodwork to be done.

It really is brilliant and I heard Penny on Woman’s Hour and she sounded so professional. I am in awe of all three of them.

So noisy! yet there were little ones just sleeping through it all, on the floor, on mats!

Thanks so much for posting about #GoodWork

#TeamHonk have been blown away by all the support.
