Britmums Carnival – Bloggers In Bloom!

The heat of the Summer is slowly waning and the days are getting noticeably shorter.¬† I thought I would gather together some of the best blooms and gardens from this Summer for this week’s BritMums carnival, so that whilst we are starting to put the garden to bed we can remind ourselves that the sun did shine!

As the cold weather approaches bask in the heat from this tropical collection from HPMcQ and the vibrant colours in the garden Beyond the Playground.

Enjoy the gorgeous candy floss pink over at Mammasaurus Blog, the delicate pink Lavateras over at The Syders and the hot, hot pink bougainvillaea at Snotty Noses Blog.

I love the orange Lillies from F.A.B. At Forty that remind me of the heat of Summer and the colours in Mrs Teepot’s garden are vibrant and full of sunshine.

There is such promise of good things still to come in the herb garden at All You Need Is Love and Cake and the photographs here at Mud, Mud, Marvellous Mud tell the story of a garden loved, enjoyed and used all Summer long.

This Buddleia over at Discovering Breadcrumbs looks so romantic and makes me think of the long Summer evenings we have enjoyed this year and I can almost hear the bees buzzing through the lavender  in the oasis of calm at Mutterings of a Fool.

I never made it to RHS Hampton Court Flower Show this year but the wonderful pictures from Thinly Spread made me feel as if I was there and doesn’t this picture make you want to book your tickets for next year right now?

If you feel the need for some sunshine this winter just check out all the beautiful roses at NYLon Living! I can almost smell the perfume.

It was our first year tackling the garden here on Damson Lane and we were fortunate that once the very cold winter passed and Spring got going we were treated to long hot Summer days and enough rain to ensure there was enough water to go around. The wonderful thing about gardening is that I have no idea what the next year will bring other than new delights and challenges. For now I am just going to enjoy the memories of the glorious Summer of 2013!

What beautiful photos everyone has taken. I feel rather homesick for that English Country Garden. Thank you for including me.
